Skunk, I had an 85 Ramcharger and will second your comment about not stopping. That thing was a mule for hauling, but stopping in snow wasn't it's strong suite. I love my Durango with 4x4 or AWD and ABS Hard to beat the combo.

Took my driving test in a 87 Ramcharger with a lift and 35 inch BFG Mud Terrains, couldnt see the cones to parallel park, but still passed. Wish trucks were still built like trucks.

Day of my driving test it was snowing hard. I was the first appointment for that day and it had snowed really hard the previous night, got almost 8 inches of snow.. Couldn't see any of the roads on the test track, everything was covered. Instructor looked over the track to where a road grater was plowing the course, told me to follow him. So I followed him for about 5 minutes, instructor said okay, you passed, go back to the office.. Didn't have to do any turns, parking, nothing.

I miss my 85 RamCharger and my 73 IHC Scout II. Trucks made like trucks. What a shame IHC never learned the meaning of the term "Rustproofing'. Great truck but it eventually rotted out from under me.

My dad has a 76 scout II, been sitting in his barn for around 20 years. I am thinking about restoring it for him. It has a little rust! He has new quarter panels and rockers laying beside it. THat was a tough vehicle, my 3 brothers and I learned how to drive in it.

Yeah those old Ramchargers and old Scouts were tough! I got a 72 FJ40 Land Cruiser with 69000 original miles that still runs good. Got some rust as it spent its first 12 years at Nags Head. I'm the fifth owner, I guess nobody liked the 12 MPG and 70 mph top speed! I can shift it into low lock and it tops out at 20 mph. Its geared LOW! Got a straight six that holds 9 qts of oil and three speed tranny. When you lock in the warn front hubs and shift it in 4WD its all wheel drive, almost unstoppable! I love it!

Yeah I looked and that's crazy, guess I'll hang on to mine! It runs great, just needs a body restoration job. My neighbor has a nice body shop, I guess i'll talk to him.
