The porgy a were in the sandy hook reef I think, did you see any false albacores in that area ?

When you say 8 to 10 miles out was that by the mud buoy ? That's a good spot out there

Not sure - I headed out there and the party boats were there too
Sandy reef - yeh, I suppose. I have so many spots saved I couldn't tell you the official name just general area, such as Sea Girt reef etc. Within those locations are the spots where I've done best and I save them accordingly . I was once on a seabass charter who moved about 50' based on his buddy's word in other boat and then we slammed the fish. Sometimes with bottom fish if tides not strong I drift till hit a spot with most action, mark it, then zoom in on gps to anchor as directly over as possible. This last Saturday I just got lucky - 3rd spot I set anchor on put me right on the porgie party |
