V21 has two compartments in the center.....large to the rear, smaller in front.
I keep rode in the smaller in front, anchor on top of the rode. No banging against anything. There's the tiny compartment in the very front of the cuddy........but too small for anchor and rode. I have 600' of rode, approx. 15' of chain and danforth type anchor. All fits in fine. That said, since it's a " husband - wife " difference of opinion, all I can do is wish you good luck. |

There is NO "Husband - wife" difference of opinion. Husbands are not allowed to have opinions when it comes to discussions with their wives. "Yes dear", "You're right hon". "I'll get on it right away" are just of few of the proper phrases to use when you're wife is "suggesting" any sort of project. Remember, long before your wife has said anything she's thought about the project for a goodly length of time, and any snap judgement you might make will simple be wrong. Heed my words.... This is experience speaking...Between my two wives I've been married for over 50 years, and as my present wife of 40+ years will ever so gently remind me of if we should have a difference of opinion..."you have to sleep sometime"

My wife and I own a flower shop. She's a florist and I'm a part-time driver/handyman/lacky.
anyways...a married couple comes into the shop and they are looking at arrangements in the cooler and the wife says to the guy "Honey, what do you think?" and without hesitation he says "I don't think." I told him I'm going to use that one for the rest of my life.

Without even reading your first post, my answer is that your wife is right.
My 27th wedding anniversary is Friday...its worked for me so far. After reading your post, I keep my anchor and rode in a plastic tub in the cabin, usually resting near the back wall so it wont slide around as much.

Mine is in fittings on the cabin roof, with 300 foot of rode in the locker through the hawse pipe.
Ever see the ones that drop in and flush mount? It would mean some glass work. There is room on a V, I'm sure. They are sweet.
