			HA! last year I helped my brother launch his bosses 23 cc. He backed me down the ramp, I slid off and he took off to take the trailer to his bosses house.....NO GEARS! He had just changed the impeller on the Yamaha.... 
		
		
		
		
		
		
			Anyway, shift rod wasn't lined up right when he put it back together. Missed the connection entirely. We pulled the boat & fixed it in the parking lot

			Skunk ,I can just imagine your surprise on that one! as you say I must have missed it entirely,after thinking about it all day it's the only thing it could be. I will say I never had a drive go back so easily. 			Don't feel bad, I remember the first ti I changed the impeller ,when I got home I was thinking about it and  didn't remember putting the key way in   Had to take it apart and sure enough I was right   I forgot to put it in      Stuff happens
