Show me a brand new 20' boat with a trailer with no engine for 6k.
Believe me this boat is better then brand new.

Im actually tempted. Ive been in the market for a new boat. I could have this with a brand new motor, kicker, trolling motor and electronics for less than 30k

brand new fiberglass equivalent with all that stuff added is 60k+

I wonder if he added any livewells when he re did it

James,
My good friend (he bought my old V 20) and I talked long and hard about buying it. In the end we both decided to keep our old beaten up V 20's.

I'd buy it, but it would look like the one i have in 6 months. I never noticed the hatch just outside of the cabin, is it factory? I added one to mine, but just used a tempress hatch.

It's custom Phat, I put one in mine and mounted my batteries and a forward bilge pump in there. Got the idea from you. Gonna try to attach a picture, wish me luck.

Says upload failed again, hate technology.

I'll say this, that is a beautiful boat, but since having mine looking jam up it's always on your mind to keep her clean, try not to scratch, etc. My next one I'm gonna paint with rustoleum and a foam roller and call it a day.

That boat is a heck of a deal for someone who appreciates the work, time, etc it took to bring her to that condition and has the funds to hang some decent new or late model power on her.

Given that a solid used carb'd outboard can be found for around $ 2,500.....if I was in the market, and this boat was truly solid - floors, transom, cuddy etc, it's a heck of a nice opportunity.

That boat looks beautiful.

I didn't bother with AC Boat show this year........but we know new in this size typically $ 30,000 - $ 50,000.

There's no denying that whoever did it did a first class job. Super pretty and nicely done appointments... I'd tip my hat to him any day of the week.

But, underneath all that the hull is still over 40 years old. The sun and UV rays take there toll on everything, including fiberglass. Now, I have no idea how much strength the fiberglass has lost in 40 plus years, but.... Well, you get what I'm trying to say. Plus, like Phatdaddy just said, in 6 months it would look like my present boat. (Good looking, but not show quality).

In all cases, whoever buys it will get a hell of a pretty boat.
