You need to do a sync and link, try to google up the factory service manual to explain it. OMC did have good manuals. Did you soak the entire carb? make sure you got the little round gaskets in place around the brass tubes that go into the bowls. If you used an aftermarket kit, take the bowls off and check that the mating surfaces matched up on those round gaskets.

I didnt soak the carbs just sprayed them. I did use an aftermarket kits so I'll have to check. I think the link and sync it the problem, I'm going to see if I can get some help doing that see if that works. Thanks again

you will need to soak them, pull the welch plugs out as well to make sure you get all the crud out behind the idle transfer ports

I did pull the welch plugs, there really wasn't any thing there.
I'll pull them and soak them before i do the link and sync thanks

most people dont know about the welch plugs or how to install them back in place.

Found out about them them on YouTube.

yeah, that works, we used to paint the edges with nail polish before ethanol fuel came out, don't know how that would hold up now a days, I paint the edges of the external plugs with nail polish or gasola if you can find it
