Black seabass fishing

Pretty fish man! We fished Wed and Thurs last week. Slow dolphin fishing but got a couple nice ~25 lb bulls and a few cows. Bottom fished on the way in both days too. Will post up my own report soon. What depth did you get the bsb? I've been having trouble finding them.

Here in Ma. we get them in about 30ft. Bait is squid or clams, but the biguns go for shinny tins

NJ its mostly ~60ft on the inshore artificial reefs this time of year. Later it is really good out at the Shark River reef. Bottom is 120ft, tops of structure as high as 80ft. When they close the season in Jan there is awesome fishing for slobs out in 200'

Well, there's no 300' within range of a v20 so I guess that's out.

Edge of the Wilmington Canyon........70 mile run on big Whaler.

V's with 150 4 strokes can almost reach using the 1/3 out, back, reserve guideline in calm seas. I believe some of those have 200 mile + range.

For me it was just a matter of adding an additional 21 gallons in two above deck tanks (15 and 6) that fit perfectly under the bench seat out of the way.

It does add additional weight in the rear, so I burn off the 15 gallons first. Gets me out close to 40 miles before I switch over to the main tank.

I agree with the 4 stroke logic though. If you get 4 mpg then you should be able to do 150+ miles and finish with the 20 (1/3 rule).
