Thanks again guys, as you see I know little about them, don't know why but no place I worked ever used big johnny-rudes, I've run dozens of 15's, 25's 35's I have a 40. But these big ones are all new to me. I thought mine was a hog mostly because I compare it to my son-in-laws 2000 yamaha 150.

One more question What prop would y'all recommend?, I have a 15 1/2" 13 pitch from the 225 sitting around would it do?, that pitch seems low to me comparing it to my black max 200's 19 pitch, but obviously it worked on the 225.

Thanks,

Doug

I'd expect a 17" stainless to be about close to what you would need.

Thanks, Tsubaki, that sounds much more like it. should have seen you ran a 19pitch on your earlier post.have to be on the lookout for one.

Maybe that 13 pitch prop had something to do with the piston turning into a small metal ball on the 225.

Actually, I tested the pump in the oil tank & unless it's more complicated than it looks, it was dead.

never thought about the oil injection stuff, I had my merc neutered years ago.

Don't much like those oil pump systems, & don't mind mixing.
