My wife has been asking me to raise the passenger seat so she can see better. She is short. Instead of blowing her off like I usually do I saw this as an opportunity to build a cool seat. I used the original base as a template. I just built it taller. Once the base was built out of plywood I covered it in a layer of fiberglass and painted it with Awlgrip. Then I used the original back to back seat but I fastened it to starboard so it can't open. Then I cut in tackle storage to the front. It holds 3 regular Plano boxes and 1 large box. In the back I foamed in a 5 gallon bucket which I plumbed to be a livewell. The seat is hinged so you just lift up the seat and access the live well.

			I don't have a picture yet but I topped off the livewell with a plexiglass cover. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Great job, looks nice. I've got pedestal seats on both sides and have been wanting to put a tackle storage unit under the passenger side. Looking at your photo, it wouldn't raise it much more than the drivers side.

Looks good Capt...Just removed my pass. side back to back and replaced with matching pedestal. Gained floor space lost storage...never enough storage.

Thanks everyone. My wife hasn't sat in it yet but looking at the pics she is worried that her feet won't touch the floor. Lol! She's short. I told her if that is the problem I would install a foot rest for her.
