Whats it worth(Suzuki 140)?

I don't know much about used outboard pricing but, for comparison, the book value of my 2006 V6 Ford Explorer, runs great no rust, is $4100 and it was $30K+ new.

Outboards....when YOU have one to sell they aren't worth much HOWEVER, when you are looking to buy they cost a fortune. I guess it is more than just outboards. I digress.

I closer to the bottom of the barrel with what I deal with age and price wise, so no four strokes yet for me. I sold this engine to this guy in a package deal for $750 running. He went through the carbs, put in a water pump, and painted it.

Yep, you can tell by the other engines he has in the pictures that's what he does for either a living or to supplement his income. I've run across several people like that. and the really funny thing is they get upset if you want more money, but have no problem after they get the engine of charging more...
