Seen as your THE duramax guy I have a duramax/Allison question. My gmc is giving me a slight problem witch I think I got narrowed down to a broken wire or bad connection. Once in a while my tranny will go into limp mode throwing a p0700 code and p0659. I've taken it into the local dealership all they have done for me is change the TCM and check the fluids clear the codes and charge me a **** load with the reoccurring issue. I need to get ahold of the wiring diagram and pin location that connects the TCM to the transmission. I'm looking for wire #11 on the TCM to pin 14 on the Ali connector it should be running 12volts. I've looked the internet over without success.
The common issue seems to be a break in that wire you describe when I searched it.

I know that for the longest time Ritchie Compasses were filled with Mineral Spirits. They switched over to their own blend of something a few years back. And my A/C gauge sets all have the gauges filled with a heavy oil to prevent compressor bounce. Not sure what it is but it's probably silicone.

From the factory I believe they used a 10,000 weight silicone oil. For fuel gauges they have found that 30K weight seems to help provide more dampening. I put 30K in a fuel gauge, and 10K in the oil and temp gauges. Still waiting on one more tool so I can calibrate the gauges, then try it out.
