JV,if you doing w pump & t-stats, might want to throw a new poppet valve in also. You guys might not have the salt we have, but they get pretty crusty and are usually overlooked. Easy to change, biggest pia is getting the cowling pan off. If you have an older model with the clamshell. Easy to get to.

Thanks Phat. Its a 1995 and the cowling is a clam so I will change it. I spend a lot of time in the Long Island Sound so salt is an issue and I want a clean slate to start with as I don't have a detailed service history for the motor.

I live in the deep south so my seasonal preparations are a little different. The seasons I prep for are snapper season, cobia season, etc... I do tend to fish less during deer season though. But I can feel y'all's pain. It's in the low 40's out there. No way am I going outside today. It should warm up in a couple days though. At least I hope so, I need to cut my grass!

LOL Grass whats that?? Ocean temp is 44* Air is 29* with up to 10 inches of snow falling as I type!!
