I'm sure there's much better paint out there but I just used a rattle can of Krylon for plastic in white.

I completely agree. I use the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) formula always. Krylon for plastic is great paint... I've used it for Resin outdoor furniture, Boat parts, and a ton of other things... It adheres well and lasts several years.

Me too - I've repaired those plastic rod holders on my V21 a few times.

Krylon paint - white. I tried to get fancy with slight off white, result looked green.
Did it over with the white.

I don't really use these alleged rod holders, but since standard equipment, I repaired and re installed.

gotta agree with you bg, not the best way to store a rod. when i repainted my boxes, i used the "fat" ends in one side and added some teak strips. makes a great shelf for mask, fins, watershoes, etc.

i stuck the "skinny" sides on the other side and store gaffs and nets in it.
