Hey Skunk........did you see the pic I provided ?

Roller idea I agree......may be the easiest solution. Not sure if the chain would roll across it though. It's 1/2 " rode and much thicker chain.

I strictly trailer so dock fee not an issue. Since I don't anchor much maybe just a stainless chain will be sufficient. Less but not completely eliminate risk of scratching the gel coat when bringing it in.

well then just drop and retrieve the anchor from the side of the boat.
