Default Anchor bow pulpit ideas

I don't anchor much but when I do, the chain scratches the gel coat when I bring it up.

I believe in more rather than less anchor capacity so I have Danforth with about 10' of heavy chain and approx. 1/2" rode.

Can't keep the chain from rubbing the lip of hull when I bring it up so looking for ideas.

Maybe a bow pulpit with the type that uses lower support to bolt into front edge of hull.
I only have a couple of inches to the bow slider cover which I won't remove to make room for an anchor. Then also have to move the bow light somewhere to make room for anchor pulpit. Any ideas welcome...............

Lewmar pivoting anchor roller. Easily mounts with thru bolts. It leave enough room to mount a cleat and still not interfre with cuddy hatch. Anchor NEVER hits the boat. You can stand back on main deck when dropping and hauling. Works with danforth and claw anchors. I had a chain tensioner/holder which I have since replaced with a simpler pin type chain holder. The rode runs back under windshield door, around sliding hatch and into cuddy.

In latest picture you can see I added a stainless hawse pipe to run anchor rode straight down into locker (In the cuddy there is a piece of 5" plastic flex pipe siliconed in place between foredeck and anchor locker). This works GREAT! You haul the anchor, lay the rode out on deck and then you do have to lay inside the cuddy and pull the rode down into locker

Sorry, I don't have a better pic of latest setup with anchor in place.

Real nice set up, and appreciate your posting.

Except won't work with my bow slider cover......not enough space between that and the edge of the bow. Not willing to unsnap the cover because it would be a permanent removal and I like how the cover works.......

If doable, I'm thinking the kind that braces along the bow edge. Saw a pic of this type but maybe not practical as a custom design to fit my hull.

Nice set up..........I don't have the room to brace properly on the bow, so I'll likely forgo.

I'm checking out coating the chain with something.......maybe that new " rubber in a spray can crap".....

I don't anchor much, but as stated, when I do, the chain scratches the gel coat and I have to work to remove later.

Maybe look for a smoother stainless chain. It's what I use when I use a chain. One day I'll figure out the pic thing and show y'all my pulpit.
