speaking of which, do yall have anything in particular you want to do while you're here? we can run up the Cooper River on Staturday, eat at The Dock Resturant in Monks Corner for lunch. We could go thur the locks into the lake. About 45 miles from Sea Breeze Marina to the locks. If you plan on fishing during this trip, you will need both fresh and salt water liscense.

If the weather is calm, there are plenty of nearshore fishing spots or just a free for all and meet up at some time. I hate to say it, but I lost my oyster conection and they are getting $75 a bushel for local oysters this season

Does our NJ Saltwater license cover SC's requirements? and also, I don't need a fresh water license in NJ due to my "advanced" age. (NO License required for freshwater over age 70) Does that also hold true for SC?

good question, SC allows seinors to purchase lifetime fishing liscense for $9, I don't know if its applicable to out of state though, normally, you will need to have a out of state fishing liscense, $11 for 14 day fresh water out of state, $11 for14 day salt water out of state

I've been talking to a friend of mine who lives just North of Charleston in McClellenville(SP?)...he's a pretty good fisherman, knows the waters in his area and has told me he'd be glad to be our fishing guide for a day. He actually has a V20...a Center Console I think, but as time gets near and weather looks good, I'll hook up w/him for a day for us to put us on some fishing holes....Red Fish and Cobia are some of his favorite targets, so come ready to straighten some lines out if ya got a mind to...

that is some shallow water up that way, get stuck on an outgoing, and you'll be there for a while. Besides the fact thats a good ride from Charleston
