| single axle trailer??

I have a V20 with the easy loader dual axel. Great trailer... but... it's a bugger to get way back into my pole barn. One of the biggest problems is there are some sharp turns and we all know how that works with a dual axel trailer.. NOT! It really is hard to push and I'm border line getting my truck stuck sometimes when the gravel driveway is a bit soft. Is it possible to find a single axle trailer that would be adequate for the weight of the boat? The ramp is only 5 miles down the road so I'm not worried about long distance towing. I know it would turn WAY easier. If anybody knows and or knows where I can get a used one pls let me know. Thanks!!

If possible mount a hitch ball on your front bumper. Some boat yards mount them on pickup trucks to get a boat in some tight places!

my NEW Load Rite 3100 w/rollers and no brakes was $2K total in 2014. If you make short trips like you say, it is perfect. You can save a couple hundred with bunks.

Thanks and yea I thought of that too but I want to keep it simple and not have to switch the tow vehicle around every time. But I have seen hitches on the front bet that works great.

yes, near Charleston> I didn't like the set up with the rollers and was going to change it over to bunks, but found the tandem. I think the power winch still works(not sure) BYW, before you have to ask, it was Georgia trailer fisrt, then a SC trailer, so no title as Georfia, nor SC title light boat trailers |

| Quote: I'm guessing that trailer sets the boat up 6" or so higher than a bunk trailer with a 'bent' axle?? Would you agree? I have a 19 searay with a trailer like that it does sit noticeably higher. PM me ur address.... I'll think it over. I'm in Michigan but heading to FL in a three weeks then be on my way back early Jan. 1 78" ball or 2" Bearings? tires? Lights? okay? Thx |

2 Inch ball, I'm guessing at 1 1/16-1 3/8 tapered bearing set(most common size). I don't know exactly where the trailer will be in the next couple weeks due to me moving out of my shop, but just map quest to Goose Creek, SC 29445. If you drive this far, I'll make sure the lights work, Those rollers do set the boat high, I was going to remove the rollers, save the pivot brackets, and install 2X6 carpeted bunks. That should lower the boat by a few inches. I've done this swap before on similar trailers with good luck. The tires hold air and look decent, but I'd replace them with new if I were taking long trips with a boat on it.

Here's the trailer. I wonder if I moved the front support all the way ahead... then removed the front two tires and locked the axle in place somehow??
