Well after a few hours of research I learned quite a bit. Despite being model year 96 my motor is actually a 95. So the service manual I have may be of limited use. I will get a 95 manual on the way. I was able to locate a new engine and boat harness . . . for others in the market they are out there but you got to do a lot of searching.
Does anyone have a 95 motor with safety check gauges? I think I will be upgrading to this set up since I have plans for all new switches, breakers, engine harness, boat harness, etc. Looks like all I will need is a tach and adapter plug. Anyone know the part# to install 96 system check on 95 harness?
