For those who can wait or want bargains, yes. But many people pull there boats out and there engines get messed up from being sat up improperly winterized or whatever, and want an engine now to repalce it and will pay big bucks for it. I'm always amazed at what stuff brings up north in the spring, but in the fall there are some bargains from peopel not wanting to winterize and move em quick.

Exactly my point... Sure you can sell in the fall or buy in the spring and LOTS of people do but those folks end up w decidedly less cash in their pockets than the alternative.

also, being a 110, it's an unusual hp. too large for the 3 cyl crowd and lower end of the 4 cyl range. being a 20" kinda limits your market . also, it's a 25 year old motor and to 75% of boaters, the preception is 2 stroke is obsolete.
you might try some local fresh water forums, 20" is a little more standard. it's getting harder and harder to sell any 2 stroke ob thats more than 10 years old. i know, i've got a couple sitting in the back yard |
