so the hanger bolts to the frame and then the cross beam drops in and thru bolts to the bracket? never seen that, seems kinda weak and prone to rust.

i just replaced the tongue on my trailer with a piece of 4x3 galvanized tubing 8 ft long, it was $100 from a local trailer shop. might just get the hangers from EZ and the beams locally.

if your not launching the boat, just trying to make it mobile, why not jack it up and just put a 4x4 across on top of the the frame and lay the boat on it while you move it.

Phatdaddy,

Great ideas! So glad I posted here. I will look into galvanized beams local as well as using wood beam to move the boat out of the driveway.

I've still got an old tandem trailer for a v20 that I was thinking of selling to scrap yard next week. I could part with it for a couple hundred.
It is certainly usable in its current state. Bought a new one cause it has 20 year old tires with lots of tread, brakes been removed for 10 years, could use new springs. But it rolls, it launched my boat in the spring. Frame is fine.

Old trailer in the background of photo.

I'm in Toms River, Send me a PM

A huge thank you to the V20 community and especially SkunkBoat !!!! I cut the bolts of the rotted cross beams using a grinder and sawsall then pulled the old trailer out from under the boat. I then slid my "new" SkunkBoat trailer under the boat using the winch. It took a long time re-blocking the boat every couple of feet. Attached are some pics.
