I don't bother trying to round the corners. In my instance, the blade slides pretty easily between the vinyl and the adhesive. I use one of those cheap, $1 retractable blade holders that hold a single edge razor blade for scraping paint off of windows. I like single-edge blades over utility blades because they have a bit of flex and don't seem prone to digging into the gel coat.

easy off oven cleaner or chisel gasket remover. Spray it on, wait for the plastic to wrinkle up, then scrape it off with a plastic scraper. Any difficult areas can be cleaned up with a razor blade. Once you get teh stripe off, wash the area you pulled the stripe off to get an residue off. DO NOT TRY THIS ON PAINTED SURFACES only gel coat

It took a long time to remove the stripe on my V18. Heat gun, razor blade, and a thin scraper I sanded smooth.

Won't the easy off oven cleaner damage the gel coat.
