When I was a kid working in the garage/junk yard I workied at on weekends and summers I tried to put a new gear set in a rear end of a work van...there is an art to it, I was not an artists.
But these days there will be a video on Youtube showing you how to do it right.

I've never done it right but I have halfassed it several times on beaters and trail only rigs..... So far only one had a horrible meltdown out of about 10....
If you've never done it I would strongly suggest finding a pro or an experienced helper. If you do choose to ignore that advice (like I have lol) remember that a lot too loose while not good is WAY better than the slightest bit too tight. |
