Thanks guys! We had a great time. This was the best trip since we started in 2007. No complaints. I'll post up the vid(s) soon. We have one that is still in the editors office being polished up. I'll try to post up some raw vids too. We have one that includes a nut slap followed up by an arm slap that left a bruise. HAHAhA classic! Those dolphin love to go ballistic.

A couple of stats from the trip:
In the 9 days we burned a little less that $1000 in fuel in the boat at $3.85 per gallon. About 3.5 gallons of 2 stroke oil. The run offshore is about 20 miles to 160 ft. On the offshore days we fished until around 2 pm or so each day. Most of the fish we caught were between 140 ft - 180 ft. in scattered weeds. Hot colors were blue/white, chartreuse/pink, pink and also green. They pretty much hit everything we put out but when it got slow the big bulls loved the blue/white bullet head. The 4 bed 3 bath house ran about 100 per night for 10 nights, which was cheaper than any hotel on the island. Our 3 man crew threw in on a kitty which paid for truck/boat fuel, ice, bait and launch fee each day. The 3 of us threw in $500 on day one and ended up having to put in $50 more at the end, so $550 each for fishing 9 days and truck gas round trip.

great trip & report. last time i was in hatteras, 1972, there were 4 of us camping in a dodge van running up & down the cape chasing a storm swell. you guys did better on the dolphin there than we do in the keys. they are so lit up when you are bring them in, i almost hate to land them.
