Default garmin 178c question

helped a friend install a new lowrance gps/sounder combo. he gave me his old 178c, but he cut the plug to remove it(grrrrrr). i have a power plug for my 2010c that will work & power up, but there is no place for the transducer to plug in, does it take a special plug that combines thew two?

I have a 178C as well and the plug into the unit does split into to separate cords. One to the power source and the other to the transducer. Not really sure of your question though. I will have mine at my house tomorrow.

thanks tartuffe, that's what i meant, the unit only has one plug in on the back, was not sure where the transducer went. on my other garmin's they needed a black box the transducer went to, then to the power cord. i'm guessing no black box, just straight to the split cord.
