how much effort did you put into the foot removal? it might be worth it to take it to a pro, like ferm said, a stuck foot would be a deal breaker. does the trailer have torsion axels or leaf springs. that is a big difference also.
i do think the center consoles hold value more than the cuddys good luck |

That stuck foot might just be that one hidden bolt you missed. Your boat looks good, depending on how large the soft areas are would affect things in my opinion. That Owens and Sons aluminum slide on trailer is a nice one. I think $3500 is a good asking price for a clean boat with a running engine that needs a little work. Cleaning up the engine some and touching up the foot with some paint would help it. I wouldn't let it go for less than maybe $2800.

Showed the boat twice over past week. One guy was worried about water pump (can't say I am surprised) and the other just said boat is too big. What would be a good price to someone just to get rid of it? I mean, the boat runs and can be used until pump goes out. Few soft spots, but I mean, it's got to be worth something, right? I would imagine the trailer is worth a pretty good bit by itself. What are y'alls thoughts? 1700-2K????

Hey boatrookie, we are curious about the drive shaft being stuck - as one person already mentioned it could be the infamous hidden johnnyrude bolt.
Did the lower unit separate any at all? If you have all the bolts out it should drop down 1/2 - 3/4 inches or more when the motor is in reverse. If it won't separate at all the shaft probably isn't stuck. I had a 140 johnson outboard driveshaft stuck once and finally took it to a shop where they were able to get (bang) it off, somehow.

All of the bolts were out. I tried everything to no avail. I used wedges, let it sit for a few days with the wedges in, ran it will all of the bolts out with something just under it to catch it if it moved, shifting it back and forth to see if it would drop. Nothing. Took it to a local shop and they told me they couldn't get it off either. I didn't know what else to do except bolt everything back up, take it to the lake and enjoy it which I have done several times since last trying to get it loose. I have to keep it at my in-laws which makes it difficult to get over and work on it so I have decided to sell it to someone who may want to attempt it. It's a good boat for one 30 years old, just time to part ways with it and get something a little newer and smaller for myself.
