You would think so but with this cold it may have driven them to deeper warmer water. But I have caught them in 34 dg water temps inside the 3 mile line.

I haven't tried yet because of the lack of fish caught.

Default Inshore srriper fishin

Heard from my son-in-law that the rock were up in the Chowan river. I took the V down to the Cannons Ferry landing Friday morning and ran around Holiday Island to the mouth of Bennetts creek. Sure enough they were there but were too short. Most caught are 17 inches and really fat. Out of the five boats out there I saw one keeper caught. It was fun out there trolling anyway, was the first time I've had the V out since last June, been really busy! The river was slick as glass so on the way in I opened it up, ran like a new boat! Hated to come back in, I could have stayed out there all day!
