no i am planing on using fitting to connect the tubing to the existing rail you see in my center console

I think you'll find that the existing railing is no where near strong enough to support the top... knida like tossing a 10 lb bowling ball with only your pinky
remember that the weight of the top is nothing compared to wind loads |
