got a short bass & 2 blues yesterday before getting socked in the fog.

There were 25 to 50 pound bluefin surfacing about 2 miles out. wasted an hour trying to catch one. They were laughing at me.

Fished from Shark River Saturday, Nov 9, turned right / south.

Went about 1-2 miles and started trolling both tube and shad umbrella rigs on the wire.
Approx. 50- 55 depth was the zone.

Found the Stripers hitting the shads more than the eel rig. A bit surprised by that.

Had two triple headers of stripers and blues. Have a video if someone wants to post it.

About 15 fish by noon, 3 keeper bass the rest all shorts and bluefish.

Didn't see anyone catching on the jig. I don't bother jigging when the fish are spread out.
I like to shoot for fish in the box, try for the limit, then play around with lures.

Calm seas, very light wind. Nice.
