Detroyer, we've got the Yorktown, Laffey, Calamagor, and parts of the Lewis and Clark at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant. My daughter likes going to see the Hunley in N Charleston the most. She's turning into quite the history buff.

My niece graduated from The Citadel, and when we went there for her graduation we also did some sightseeing. One of the items on my list was the Hunley. Truly a magnificent testament to the courage of the officers and crews that proved that she could work, and in the process gave birth to the modern submarine.

Since your daughter is turning into quite the history buff you really need to get up to Battleship cove in Mass. Not only is the Iowa class battleship USS Massachusetts BB-59 berthed there as a museum, but the USS Kennedy (A Fletcher class WWII Destroyer that went thru FRAM [Fleet Rehabilitation And Modernization]) A WWII Submarine, A fully restored PT boat, the bow of a boat whose name I forget, and a ton of other things. Really an interesting site.

And, relatively speaking, it's not all that far from there to where MJ lives... so she could see a really old antique also.

Dave.you and I have talked about your dad's place at Sneed's ferry many times...I know you know how fortunate you are to have had that place..yer very lucky...I agree w/what Randleman Boater said above about making new memories too!!

We toured the Lexington in Corpus Christie when my oldest was about Kendall's age...she lost a little purse w/$35 she had saved up for the trip on that carrier...she learned a lesson early...

Great pics of SF and aboard ship!!...

Great Pics Spare!! You and your family have a great place. Spend all the time you can with your dad there, they slip away so fast! My dad took me to see the USS North Carolina When I was a very small kid. Still remember the trip! It was great!!
