Mary Ruth Moorefield Hall
March 2, 1934- September 26, 2013
Raleigh
Mary Ruth Moorefield Hall, 79, passed peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2013, her 60th wedding anniversary. A funeral service will be held at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Raleigh on Saturday, September 28th at 3:00 p.m.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas E. Hall; brother, David Moorefield of Greensboro; daughter, Mary E. Hall and husband David Cole of Apex; daughter, Virginia Sherwood and husband Steve of Wake Forest; son, David Hall and wife Cindy Lookabill-Hall of SC; son-in-law, Mike Gupton and wife Sherry of Raleigh; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Martha Gupton and her grandson Michael Leigh Gupton, Jr.
Mary Ruth was born March 2, 1934, the daughter of the late John and Georgia Moorefield of Greensboro, NC. She was a loving wife and mother, and a friend to all who met her. The family would like to offer special thanks the staff of Rex Cancer Center in Raleigh, Hospice of Wake County and the loving care of so many friends during the past three years of chemotherapy.
Every stranger she met became a friend and whenever a friend needed comfort, she was there with a homemade dinner and a kind word.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Pleasant Grove Methodist Church , 4415 Pleasant Grove Church Road, Raleigh, NC 27613. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/new...42#fbLoggedOut

Sorry to hear About mom!!
This was my mothers card, and I hope its good for you as it was for me!

Don't Grieve for me,For now I am free:
I took his hands when I heard him call:
I turned my back and left it all.
If parting has left a void,Then fill it with remembered joy.
My life's been full, I savored much:
Good friends, good times,
A loved ones touch,A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss:
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief:
Lift up your hearts and share with me:
God wanted me now,He set me free!
