More BS about going fast....

Bradford, I don't have a preset disposition to any one length brand or even hull type. I am looking right now, trying to get the house paid and a youngster raised. I like fast but have seen how easy fast can turn sour, accidents happen in a split second. Maybe a Trawler. You got a Mckee or Whaler I can pick-up cheap for a tender?

I love trawlers...especially the ones with a sail in the middle. Give me enough money, one of those boats and I'm off around the world. It's not on my bucket list, since I can't even think of affording it... but it's certainly on my "if I had a dream" list. Maybe if I hit the lottery... <sigh>

i worked on a 58 Offshore the other day, I can say, it was pretty nice. The fast trawlers (Offshore, Fleming, Defever) are my kind of ride

Thanks Pipe... I'm going to order that book. Not that I have any illusions about me doing it, but it looks like a good read.

You all writing about trawlers now........the joy of runing 8 knots all day long on just 14 ounces of fuel etc, etc, etc etc.........


SPEED is what we're after. Pushing the V until the bow lifts and the boat flips, or....the bow digs, and it flips the other way. Ok..........or, the boat just chine walks till it goes out of control and breaks apart. Fun ?
