We had the same problem with our 10 year old. Got him the I-PAD mini for $285.00 for his birthday. Exactly same functionality as full I-Pad just smaller. Whatever it is I bet she finds herself wanting to use the I-PAD instead....I have to admit those things are hands down the sh*t compared to some android based tablets that we have owned.

Not too much experience with tablets, but I do have experience with bosses.
Let the boss keep the Ipad and get something cheap for the kids. rkc

1. galaxy tab 2 2. nexus 7 3. kindle fire hd
