phatdaddy beware of the corroded shift shaft issue, although somebody posted an aftermarket fix where pulling the powerhead is not neccessary.

yes i had to get one done, they can be a bear to do, some get lucky, mine was easy. but that was also 10 years ago.
The replacement will be SS and they started to use SS in 94 with the Salt water series
