I completely agree with you on the motor color and top side color. Im gonna try and get the color as close as possible. I have a new product Im researching now. I have an engineer at work getting some info on a rubber roof coating that is the same material used to coat fiberglass tanks and industrial equipment. They just used this product on a job and it costs 30 dollars a gallon and is uv stable comes in white, grey and light green. we will see!!!

well my ultimate goal for finishing my deck was to use a bedliner type/kiwi grip style coating for the floor and deck cap and anchor lockers and other areas. Well after many days of research I have found alephatic product that meets my specs. Its a SRC Tempco roof coating!! thats right a roof coating, its doesnt say MARINE or WEST MARINE on it. Thats because its the same product spec but just in a roofing application. I happen to find a local vender here in va beach who sells this product and he happens to have an account with my work. So after a couple minutes of talking to this rep he is amazed that my application is gonna be on a boat because he has been begging this company to market it for the marine industry. He told me its amazing that an ole country boy like me from pungo would be the one to research this product and drive the nail home as to why it should be used for boat decks. Anyway he is giving me a 5 gallon bucket of this stuff for FREE!!!!!! Yes free!!! he wants me to help him get this on product on boats. This could not only end up being good stuff for my boat but also a buisness adventure!!! So it official, all my top side will be done in a alephatic bedliner type non skid, color will be white.

Nice goin'!!...my only concern is ADHESION...in a roof application, what material is it typically applied to?...will it bond to the present gel coat surface on the floor deck of yer boat?...

The problem is going be to much adhesion!!! once applied it will take c-4 to remove it!!. they apply this stuff over rubber membrane, masonary, plastics, frp (fiberglass), epoxy and even some asphalt applications. There is gonna be no problem with sticking. This is actually the same alephatic compound as kiwi grip or gorrilla grip just doesnt have the chunky chips in it. Its a smooth surface. comes out finished with a 35 mil. thickness.

Could I have used a similar product on my motorhome roof? If so, that's awesome stuff....I've used it for numerous applications around the house. What color does it go on? The stuff I use is white, sold by gallon or 5 gallon
