a week excursion. Non stop run from Virginia line to home (6 hr) with around 3 gallons of fuel to spare. close call !

We normally would go 20-30 miles out in the GOM of Louisiana. Which isn't that big of a deal considering the amount of Oil field Traffic out there. As long as you had your safety devices, VHF, Epirb someone is going to find you if somthing happens.
