There's never anything wrong with trying to learn the truth. No offense taken. The site is offensive beyond belief, but your quest for knowledge is admirable.

So in a nutshell, here's what happened:

Yes, there was a bombing. 3 people were killed including an 8 year old boy. 18 people had their legs or arms blown off by the blast. Over 140 people were injured by the bombs, which were packed with nails and ball bearings so they would do maximum amounts of damage. Several of the people that were injured are still on the critical list and are fighting for their lives. Two brothers have admitted they did the bombings. One of them was killed in a shootout with police, and the other, after a massive manhunt, is in police custody. He was gravely injured in the shootout and is in a hospital under guard and chained to his bed. There is also some question as to their having outside help in the making of the bombs because the timing mechanisms that were used were very sophisticated and not something you would be able to just learn from a book or the internet. The brothers are both Islamic radical terrorists, and it appears the older brother was the more radical of the two. More info will come out in the following weeks I'm sure.

Yup. Cold blooded killing. He was 26 with his whole life ahead of him.
They buried that police officer yesterday. Then they hijacked a car to try and make their getaway, got involved in a shootout with police (where the older brother was killed after throwing more explosives at police) and eventually the younger brother was captured a day later hiding in a boat in some guys back yard.

Aussie, nothing personal but I don't understand how anybody can believe the conspiracy theory crap unless they want to but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

I grew up a few blocks away from where these creeps were living in Cambridge. The mosque where the older one was said to have had fanatic outbursts used to be the K of C hall.

I have friends who are local LEO's. I've seen pics that are not on the internet. How do you fake dead bodies with guts hanging out? A guy I work with is the uncle of the female cop that was in the photo on the Sports Illustrated cover. She is standing over the fallen runner with her pistol drawn. Everything I've heard says that all the authorities acted bravely and professionally but they were as shaken as anyone else after the fact.

After they shot the MIT cop, held up a store and carjacked a SUV there was not a hot pursuit. I believe that they drove to the neighborhood in Watertown because they had connections there. By coincidence I worked a block away from where the shootout happened. A bunch of local kids that we hired had the same attitude as the bombers. Creepy.

The older brother, new nickname "Speedbump", did not die in the shootout. He ran out of ammo and was being subdued by officers. His kid brother jumped in the car and drove at the officers who scattered. He then proceeded to run over his brother and dragged him to his death.

Fortunately I don't know anyone who was injured in the attack but it hits close enough to home that I take it somewhat personally.
