as far as my opinion matters:
20-21' V20 Wellcraft/SeaCraft 20
23-24 Seacraft 23/ followed by the 233 Formula and all its clones(Contender, White Water, SeaVee,... etc)
25-27 Bertram 26
above that there are so many newer hulls that are great and it gets very dependentand sepcific on where and how you use it
Let's open this wide open ANY boat aluminium glass what ever.

Best CC's to take off shore - #1Contender hands down, #2Yellowfin #3 Regulator
Seacraft had the design but not the construction. These boats are built and built right.
If I could have one CC and I had the money it would be a 25 Contender with Yamaha four stroke power, Yellowfin and Regulator right on its heels.
All around inshore CC, there are a few, anything made by Kencraft the past 10 years, Sailfish Sea Hunt would do, Boston Whaler and there are others.
Bay Boat/shallow water there are some real nice ones made that are great for shallow draft but as an all arounder I would say HydraSport Bay Bolt. Does shallow and does well in off shore work.
All around cuddy there are a lot, but for a classic all arounder the V20 is right up there.
Just some quick thoughts and observations

This is my first boat, I purchased it in the late 70's and sold it to my friend around 2004. YOU ARE LOOKING AT A 46 YEAR OLD BOAT, STILL OPERATING AS ONE OF THE BEST 233 SPORT FISHING BOATS!!
I told him this boat is worth the time and money to repower and restore, and that when he was finished the project, I would paint it with Imron for free. The rest is history!

That is a beaut for sure, I almost bought the CC version of that boat but did not trust the re-do done by the fellow who owned it, all new floors transom etc. Had cracking going on in all the joints.
What is the power in that, twin in line 6's?
