Mj I hate you had to deal with something like that. I believe your motor is priced right. If my credit were not screwdd with the car I bought I would have bought it. But when I talked to the bank about it they told me to go to hell! Keep your head up and dont back down!

Cool

MJ, first off, that guy was lying... I make that drive at least 4 times a year to visit my sis in law... 5 hours tops.. Second, your price is more than fair.. even if there were issues with the engine, that's still a great price.
Tell people in your ad that the price is FIRM, in capital letters, and to not waste your or their time trying to haggle price.

Oh, and we need some kind of password to view your youtube vid of the engine.

And like RW said "F'ing Jersey douche bags!........ " Can't trust a one of them...

Default NJ guy

MJ, you did right & you know it, guys like that are never satisfied, you did the right thing, tell him to get out & forget about the slug. I've had the same problem before & have learned that once they start picking, it's time to tell them to roll.
Wish you were closer, it's a 20 hour drive for me.

I buy a lot of stuff online. What I do is check the pricing ahead of time and if the price is fair I don't even bother to haggle. If the price is high I find out if the seller is willing to deal ahead of time, before I even get in my truck. I don't tell the seller what the issues are as they most likely already know. If I am going to low ball I will be up front and say I am going to hurt you with a price and for the most part it's just a starting price.

From what I have read in this forum, you have certainly had your lumps over the past year. I don't know you but I truly hope things get better and I suspect they will as you seemvery honest and helpfull.

MJ - It'll sell. Tax return season is right around the corner and the boat shows will get people thinking about things other than the holidays. You knew that NJ guy was a unreasonable nut job before he set foot in your yard. He probably didn't have the money. Don't waste anymore energy stewing over Craigslist crazy people . . . Put it up on ebay :)
