Default gun for the ole lady for christmas

So the ole lady wants a gun for Christmas that she can take to the range and shoot with us. So I decide instead of spending a lot of money on a new one that I would build her one of my old marlin model 60 semi-autos. I'm going with the tactical stock, compact barska 3-9x40 scope, iwill also retrofit an accesory rail up front under the stock to hold a UTG 3.5 inch foregrip,bi-pod and red laser sight. I'm gonna polish the ramp and bolt for her and later down the road drop in after market trigger assembly to crispen up the trigger. The model 60 is the gun at the bottom broke down.

Keep them all shooting, I would say that women appreciate a nice wood stock more than the tactical stuff from my experience.
just a thought.

Looks good, You can't beat the Marlin Model 60's. I have been planning on getting that stock for my son for Christmas and myself a new AR and S&W XD.

I'm thinking about doing something with the stock. It has a lot of weight forward and its narrow on the rear, so I might foam the rear of the stock then shape it with a sure-form and rough sandpaper then glass over it to add a little shape to the *** end of the gun and a little weight. And it will also look a little different then the rest of 600,000 dragunov ATI stock conversions.
