Blue, next time you hand them a bottom rig and if they give you the "what's that fer?" face, hand them a scrub brush and ask them again which one they want

I think that may be the reason they don't like bottom fishing - I don't supply the rods. I'm not much of a hand-holder when it comes to taking other adults fishing. We get out there and their snoopy poles with 10 lb mono won't accomodate enough weight to hit the bottom on the drift and hard for them to reel in. AKA they bring a knife to a gun fight. I figured they would learn after the first couple times....but I guess they aren't paying attention. LOL Taking my 15 y.o. nephew and his friends is a different story. They actually pay attention and listen when told to do something.
