Reelapeelin's got it right-they all work for the same goups-big oil, wall street etc and not for us. Vote for who you want but at the end of the day don't expect anything to change. The only way is to purge every last one of them from the oval office and congress and start fresh. Elephants and Asses screwing the masses! In other news my boat is happily sitting on land hoping the flood waters don't rise and float it off its blocks. Stay safe folks!

You know, I don't see anyone offering any solution to the problem. Don't misunderstand me, I totally agree with the premise that our Government is being bought. I've agreed with that many times, in many posts, in many threads. But one person, or even one hundred persons standing up and shouting at the top of their lungs won't do anything except give one hundred people horse throats. It's easy to rant and rave and say our government is corrupt, point fingers and yell. Don't do that, because it will just roll off my back like a ducks back sheds water. You want my agreement, you want my involvement? Give me a plan. Tell me how we remove the cancer that has infected our government.

See, the problem is that the people that make the rules are in control, and they don't want to release ontrol. They are going to lie and tell you anything they think you want to hear in order to get elected, and then they will do whatever they damn well want to, most of it in secret, and they could care less what you think. They pay you lip service only when they think it's to their benefit.

So here's a suggestion. Before you trust anyone, look at what a person has done most of their life. How have they conducted themselves? Admittedly, there is not guarentee that what they say is what they will do, but it's an indication of the type of person you're giving your vote to. Ask them how they stand on term limits. See, the problem is that once they are in power it's almost impossible to remove them from power until after their term is up. Find out if they will work towards making it easier to recall a sitting Congressman or Senator or President. From where I sit, that's about all you can do. Does anyone else have any better suggestions? Hell, I'll listen to them all, and if they are good and legal I'll even work towards implementing them... but until then don't just yell and tell me the sky is falling... I already know it's falling. I just don't know how to stop it.

BRIELLY, I used to live in Toms River. You guys stay safe.. looks like you may get the eye of the storm. So you and Capt Pete and anyone else in that area make sure you're in a safe place. My prayers go out to all of us on this one. Looks like it's gonna be bad. Keep your heads down.

A PLAN?...Destroyer...why didn't ya just ask??...But don't expect instant results...don't expect it to be easy...and don't expect it to be effortless...BRielly's post above is like a breath of fresh air...and your acknowlegement here was the same...and that's what it will take...NUMBERS...lots of people speaking w/one voice, loud and clear that we are tired of this mess and will not accept it any longer...this thing you are reading right now has become a powerful weapon...it just hasn't been used enough YET...

Here's two things I've done...I went to my U.S. Representative's website, went to CONTACT and sent a short question about how does he feel about money in politics...I haven't heard back from him and honestly do not expect to...but I DID IT. Has anybody else done done that?...Congratulations if you have, but what we need to do is coordinate and do it in NUMBERS...so the first thing we gotta do is come together, coordinate and communicate.

Reach out to CONTACTS in your email and otherwise w/whom you've had this same conversation...I can think of 25 or so, who'll jump on w/me...and I bet several will read this who can bring 25 or so w/them...each of those 25 bring 25 of their own and eventually we got some NUMBERS...it'll take NUMBERS...and COMMITMENT...we don't have to stop our lives, but we gotta single mindedly send the message, IN NUMBERS, AT ONCE to our Congressmen and tell them the jig is up and it's gonna change w/them or w/out them.

How do we coordinate all that hop on the train w/us and communicate w/one another?...I opened a Facebook Page called Independents Against Corruption...it's brand new and will live or die w/participation or not. Some will laugh it off as silly little FB page...and that's to be expected...but I see it as the central communication point to coordinate an effort like this will require. I see several on V20 on FB from time to time and a couple of them have already visited Independents
Against Corruption and LIKED it...who knows where a grass roots ground swell will start?...

You asked what do you do?...the IAC page above is one thing you can do and I hope you will...if everybody who sees this will bring a number of others w/them, maybe we can put together enough numbers to make a difference...Hope see ya there.

Now this could be some real fun and maybe be the start of something big...no doubt it'll take numbers and time...for this election, it's already too late...but if we don't do something now, we'll be saying the same thing 4 years from now. Bring all the numbers you can muster to the IAC Facebook page and let's start now to make a real difference in who's running this country...big money...or your vote...time to MOTIVATE...

My take on this election is that if Romney wins and does what he claims he'll do, then there is a possibility that the economy may turn around, and there will be a slowing of the national debt that is piling up. He is a social liberal, and his election will not cure anything, just forestall the inevitable.

If Obama wins we are ****ed monkeys in a shorter time, which may not be a bad thing. This mess will never be sorted out at the ballot box, so other options may come into play. A breakup of the Union may not be a bad thing for freedom loving people. Let the patriotic self reliant people have a place of their own where they can live in freedom and prosper. Let the socialist liberals have their own utopia, funded by THEIR money, and see how that works out.

Socialism is a big part of our problem. Taking from one by threat of force to give to another is nothing short of evil. It robs the one of their property, and robs the other other of their dignity and makes them beholden to the takers.

No doubt our nation's budget would be in better shape had Bunce & Crockett's observations been adhered to. It never should have started in the 1st place...on that I agree.

But we must deal w/what IS, not what should have been...and now that the system is in place, which individuals should we cut off first? Of course the 1st to go should be the freeloaders who abuse the system...baby makers for money and others manipulators. Then you cut off the next level and the next level and pretty soon you are cutting off aide to the soldiers who have given their all to this country and you and me as citizens...so of all the millions our country uses to help those in need, finding a starting point is easy...but where do you stop? Strictly according to Bunce and Crockett, even the soldier returning from battle w/out the arms and legs he had since birth are afforded no gov't assistance...So where do you stop, once you start cutting?

Yer doin' what I'm doin'...if it's an incumbent vote against it...Romney makes that very difficult, but that's what I'm doin' anyway...

and there so many thought I was voting fro Obama...
