A chap in Winter Haven used to have a Wolf. (Or at least it appeared to be a wolf) Very near Osborn Marine, kept it in a fenced in yard. Pretty large and absolutely intimidating when looking at you over the top of the 4' chainlink fence. I always wanted a fox.

Kracker I had to scroll up and see where the hell you lived!!! Crazy.....

Destroyer I kinda have to agree with you. But, you gotta do what you gotta do to protect yourself, land and etc......It probably wouldn't have been as bad if dude didnt stopped to pose with them as a trophy and in turn showed a little remorse......

Lucky Jack - .......The Surprise is not old; no one would call her old. She has a bluff bow, lovely lines. She's a fine seaboat: weatherly, stiff and fast, very fast, if she's well handled. No, she's not old; she's in her prime.

Mr. Dixon was unaware they were animals that were pets. Mr Dixon was suppose to be in Florida right now on buisness at a big boat show but yesterday he went to home depot to by wood to build caskets and bring them to the owner to help bury them. He also is getting the hides professionally tanned and is gonna give them to the owner. Mr Dixon is stand up guy and truelly was protecting his fawns that he rehabilitates. Like he asked me on the phone, he said what would you have done? Your making your coffee and there's 2 120 pound wolves in the sneak position crawling across your land 80 yards behind your grandchildrens swing set heading towards your deer impoundment? And I told him point blank " I would have to kill em" its sad for both parties.

I would have reacted as Mr Dixon. I have 3 kids running around...I am not familiar with wolves, but I am not willing to take a chance with my kids, no doubt those they would NOT be alive on my property

The whole story sucks though....sucks the wolves owner wasnt more responsible and they had to be killed. Sounds like Mr. Dixon is a hell of a man though.

Side note - my best bud who owns the boat dealership left for a week of Fla and boat show today....lucky a$$.....

We have em here ironically enough. There was a land developer in cahoots with my grandpa that was a big fox hunter and every place he developed he would set a load of fox go on it. I can't tell you how many times Ive gone to pick up my boat from my parents and one would dart across the street, my buddies would say "what the hell was that!?!?!"
