A guy I knew but not real well died that exact same way. He was out on Lake Norman with his girl and friends. Dropped them off at the ramp and told them he was gonna make one final run. Never returned. Found him dead in the boat. Hit a wake and slammed his chest into the wheel, if I remember correctly. So sad. I don't care to go fast in a boat, but understand why some do. About 35 mph suits me well.
