Since 1999 I've had 3...listed below...and like yer children, it's hard to pick a favorite...although looks-wise the 70s models I like the best, going forward I'd probably not get another one just because of the fuel tank configuration...when Wellcraft started putting the tank in the floor and upped the capacity to 60 galls...was also the time they went to a self-draining floor deck...that'll be my choice down the road...

All kidding aside it is an interesting question that maybe only somebody who worked at Wellcraft would know. How many units per year did they manufacture through the run of 26 odd years. It certainly seems to me you see more 80's models for sale than either of the other two decades but that may be because the 70's models are finally wearing out other than the ones really well taken care of and maybe the 90's models are still being held on to by their original owners? Would be fascinating to know though many they sold per year.

I would also like to know which is more popular. I realized next year my 83 will be 30 years old! Besides i believe the 82-86 V20s had the same fuel tank, transom, splashwell etc design. So they are the most popular based on this forum and what i have seen around town and for sale. Delivering pizza at night i have spotted six V20s all of that era.

I.m like Reel, I like the looks of the 70's, guess I'm kinda partial! But all are really popular. I see them everywhere. We rode to Cheasapeake Square in Va. the other day and I saw another one I haven't seen before. It was across from Nansemond High School. Is it anybody here?
