I've got a small cabinet smoker I use, and I have considered adding an electric element to it to help maintain the heat. I've found that when I get the desired amount of smoke with the wood I like to use, it runs to cold. Figured I could ad a small element to it on a t-stat and just use the fire box for smoke and the element to maintain heat and temp to get a more even cook.
