Talking Mahi- Jersey fresh!

Just finished eating a grilled mahi sammich...

We took the 50 mile ride to the Glory Hole/Princess for a shot at tuna.
We were practically alone. I think everyone was at the Resor. Guess we should have gone there.

We got one nice mahi and a double on monster bluefish that really disappointed us when we were thinking they were big mahi.

Have not been skunked on a Glory Hole trip...3 for 3!

Beautiful day but the ride out had a swell that we had to head straight into. Slowed me down to 26 mph to keep my passengers happy.

Saw no less than a dozen sea turtles and a blue shark

Always nice to have a go-to spot. Going to have to change your screen name to skunkless boat.

True but he could've just as easily put a FAT tuna or 3 in the boat. Or a triple mahi-dorado-dolphin fish knockdown sure can turn a bad day good - quick-like. You got to take the bad with the good and be thankful you got the "skunk" off the boat. LOL Just because you run 50 miles out doesn't guarantee you a massive catch.

p.s. that dolphin would easily go 8 lbs.

Fifty each way - impressive in these rigs, especially since it was 50 OUT, not just along the coast.

He probably burned 25 gallons of gas with that Zook on the transom.
