What a great actor he was.

I remember him either gently giving words of professional advice to Barney Fife or reasoning with Aunt Bea about Opie's up bringing. Those things seemed to hit home for me.

Really sad! Been watching reruns of the Andy Griffith show all afternoon. Also heard Earnest Borgnine passed today. Both were great actors and will really be missed.
