YAMAHA's oil injection is about as good as it gets, but your HPDI MUST have oil injection to get ANY oil to the bearings. The HPDI injects the fuel directly into the combustion chamber, so no fuel passes through the engine. If no fuel goes through, than no oil would get to it with premixing. OPTI's, HPDI's, FICHT's, ETEC's, and any other direct injected 2 stroke engine MUST have oil injection to get oil.

Thanks for the offers guys,I'll keep it in mind if I run into problems.
I've been good with the disabled vro till this season.I took it off today and found that the vac hose that drives the pump was barely on, it was jiggling when you touch it.There was no way to get to it without removing the vro,so I guess it had to be done anyway.
I think I'm going to try the rebuild anyway since they recommend servicing every 10 years anyway.I took it apart and put it back together pretty quick, just for kicks.I'm getting the kits tomorrow and will see how it works when done.
As for the fuel pump only I'd need to get a lower and upper pump and figure a way to squeeze it all in there.
