Thanks guys, forgot to mention everyone was okay, and that's what mattered the most. Picked up my settlement check today and was pleasantly surprised with the payment amount. I thought about taking the repair money but in the end settled for a complete loss and turned the title over. I just don't have the time or space for another project. Plus, I am on the hunt for something newer. As far as the guy in the F150, he was extremely nice and felt really sorry. His biggest concern was we might have been heading out to start our vacation and he ruined it!

that spot where the bracket got the hull dosen't look so bad in the photo. looks like it took off the gelcoat, but did not go through the mat. plus, no water intrusion.

i bought a salvage boat(it sank at the dock) a couple of years ago. after the owner settled with the ins co. he asked about buying it, i paid the ins co and he gave me a signed title. i paid 2 grand for boat motor & trailer. sold electronics for 2 grand & hull motor & trailer for 3200.

Hey Chris I called the insurance today and she's already gone!! It's going to auction next week. He told me were the boat would be auctioned at but I'm not gonna go. I kinda figured he might do a cash deal but no joy. Oh well, once again I'm sorry to hear about your boat.

Kracker-

Bummer it didn't work out. I wouldn't worry about it as I don't think it would have been easy fixes, the motor needed some serious work (powerhead removal, transom bracket replacement, steering pivot tube? replaced as is bent) and the trailer was toast minus the axles. So now go pour that money into your CC and get her finished up!

Glad ya'll weren't hurt and it happened after ya'll went out instead of before. Keep your eyes open there are some sweet deals on V20's if you are patient.
