i have used both, i use 5200 on below water line stuff and permanent installs.
i use 4200 above water line and for non permanent install, it will remove easier works for me!

both 5200 and 4200 are Ok below water line, I use life caulk on motor bolts. I've had to hook a motor to a tree and the trailer to a truck to separate the two when it was 5200'd on. The only place I use 5200 is if i NEVER plan to remove it. 4200 or life caulk do fine for below water line
